Lyvia's Alterations & Custom Clothing is a family owned business that opened in November of 2009 in the main business district of downtown Snohomish.

Lyvia's is owned and operated by Mercedes Dinsmore who has over 35 years experience providing alterations, tailor, and custom made clothing services. She has previously owned and operated businesses before choosing to work for a high-end local retail store for 15 years where she was able to continue to utilized her skills. Mercedes had hoped to one day re-open her business and in November of 2009, opened Lyvia's Alterations & Custom Clothing in Snohomish. It is named after her granddaughter who was born in 2008.

Mercedes has dedicated her life to her passion of sewing and custom made & originally designed clothing. She prides herself in her expertise, personalized & friendly service, and has received compliments as being "the best seamstress in town". If it's clothing related, Mercedes will likely be able to help at her new Snohomish County location.
